5Who can become an APC member

5.1. The title of Honorary Member of the Association may be awarded to individuals and organisations that have provided substantial assistance in the development of the public organisation or have special merits before it, and who share the statutory goals of the public organisation approved by the Board of the Association. The title “Honorary Member of the Association” may be approved by the general Assembly of the Association with the participation of at least two APC Trainers.

Honorary Members of the Association may be individuals aged 18 or over and legal entities (public associations) professionally engaged in coaching training and/or coaching (business trainers, HR managers, managers at all levels who provide coaching support to their employees, heads of departments who train their staff, management consultants, psychologists working in companies, psychologists providing professional support to executives or enterprises, mediators, etc.).

5.2. Professional Members of the Association may be individuals aged 18 or over and legal entities. They are practising coaches and/or coaching trainers who are ready to follow the 11 coaching competencies established by Thomas Leonard and the APC Code of Ethics based on that of the International Coaching Federation (ICF). The first necessary requirement for membership is the completion of a full coaching training course (or other APC programmes) in training centres that teach according to APC-accredited coaching programmes — at least 100 classroom hours. Those who have completed other coach training programmes and wish to become APC members must choose a membership level and submit, in free form, all documents confirming their coaching competencies: a copy of the certificate, the name of the institution where the programme was completed, the actual title of the trainer they studied with (at least 100 classroom hours), the table of contents of the coach training programme; they must also pass a written test and an in-person supervision. The title “Professional Member of the Association” may be approved by the general Assembly of the Association with the participation of at least two APC Trainers.

Certification of coaches and trainers who studied at other training centres, associations and organisations is carried out by an APC MT or Trainer. To do so, the necessary documents must be prepared in advance and the time of certification agreed with two APC Trainers or one APC MT.
