This is the Third Place exclusive NEP DENIM 4PK, purchased at Third Place, a HERILL retailer in Nagoya.

This denim is a completely limited edition product, with the fabric, color, and silhouette specially ordered by Mr. Nishiwaki of Third Place from Mr. Oshima, the HERILL designer.

It features a vibrant blue that evokes spring and summer, unlike anything seen in other domestic Japanese brands, and boasts beautiful vertical fading. The 11-ounce denim is suitable for all seasons. Here's the product description:

"I've been watching HERILL make denim since the brand's inception, and I especially liked their processing techniques. It has an authentic, classic feel, yet it's easy to imagine how it would fit with my own style.

However, Mr. Oshima of HERILL usually wears either slim tapered or very wide silhouettes, and the brand's offerings have reflected those choices. This denim, however, has a mid-wide silhouette that appears straight, falling "in between" the slim and wide styles that I personally prefer.

A key feature of this silhouette is the deep rise, which makes it easy to ride a bicycle and ensures a good range of motion. The thigh area (thigh width) is also designed with ample room to avoid emphasizing any unwanted leg lines, regardless of body type or age.

The waist is intentionally made large, so a belt will likely be necessary for many. However, cinching the waist with a belt creates a beautiful drape and line. The key is that even when cinched tightly, the waist area still looks neat.

Another aspect I personally value in denim is the hem width. My size in this denim is "2," and the hem width is 23cm. This hem width allows it to be paired perfectly with both sneakers and leather shoes.
