In this treasure box edition, the original state of the serialization in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" and "Bouken-Oh" is faithfully reproduced, including the title pages and the headings.

The highlight is the story included in the "Bouken-Oh" supplement. This too, faithfully recreates the time. The scene where Hyakkimaru learns the secret of his birth and his relationship with Dororo is not found in the paperback edition, so those who have only read "Dororo" in the single-volume edition may be surprised.
