Only the artist herself can pull this off. Maki Nomiya's project to standardize Shibuya-kei masterpieces, which began in 2013, has finally released a 7-inch single after a live recording CD!

Produced by Osamu Sakaguchi, a former Pizzicato Mania and known for his work on the soundtracks of Satoshi Miki's films, the Billboard Live "Maki Nomiya Sings Shibuya-kei" was held in 2013 and 2014. The project, which included hits from the 90s Shibuya-kei scene by artists like Pizzicato Five, Kenji Ozawa, and Original Love, as well as songs that were their roots, became a hot topic for pop music fans. For the 7-inch release, the live recording CD's audio has been re-edited, preserving the fresh session feel of a live recording while delivering a clear sound comparable to a studio recording. The songs included are, of course, Pizzicato Five's "Tokyo wa Yoru no Shichi-ji" and Towa et Moi's 1969 debut song "Aru Hi Totsuzen," two classic numbers that remain in Japanese pop history. With a stylish arrangement in the style of Bacharach & A&M and a flowing ensemble, Maki Nomiya's vocals add to the adult and gorgeous transformation!
