Eddie Dovlerush has lived in the area since boyhood, and has conducted extensive investigations into wartime and other accidents, visiting crash sites and contacting survivors. This book is the result of all those years of accumulated knowledge. Edward Doylerush The author was born in Thingwall, Cheshire in 1929 and moved to Rhos-on-Sea at the age of ten. Educated at Cowlwyn Bay Grammar School, he joined the school Air Training Corps Squadron and his first experience of flying was a Halifax bomber. He attended the ATC gliding school at Tal-y-Cafn in Conway valley. Aside from aviation, his main interests are astromony and hill walking, writing on these with contributions to 'Country Quest.
