Classic mid-century Dobbs New York octagonal hat box featuring the iconic gold-stamped carriage logo on the lid and side panels. This large thin cardboard 8-sided version is black with a black fabric pull-tab strap inside. The interior is clean. The thin box is structurally sound and holds its shape well. There is noticeable shelf wear and scuffing along the edges and corners where the black print has rubbed off, revealing the natural brown paper underneath, typical for vintage cardboard storage. Some light creasing and indentations are present on the side panels.
