★ What is Ata?
It is a type of fern, and a famous craft from Tenganan Village in Bali, where the long stems are split lengthwise and carefully woven.
It is made through the process of weaving → sun-drying → coloring → shade-drying, which takes time and effort.
It has a unique scent (due to being smoked with coconut juice) and is also insect-repellent and mold-resistant.
