Spherulitic Rhyolite Rock Mineral Specimen with a Geode Vug Cavity with Crystals inside, this specimen measures approximately 3.5 Inches wide and weighs 244.2 grams. It was recovered by me during the 1997 field season on the southwestern end of Vesuvius Hill located adjacent to Butte Creek in the Yukon Territory of Canada. This terrain was extremely brutal to climb with sharp felsic and andesitic outcrops that had gold silver geochemistry anomalies that were subsequently drilled. This specimen has extensive Phyllic alteration with green sericite covering the purple mauve white gray bubbly spherulites. It is in as found condition.
