Original Jan 31, 1921, Unit Officers School graduation certificate issued at Headquarters, Camp Devens, Massachusetts to 1st Lieutenant F. W. Halsey, 18th Infantry, for completion of the October 1, 1920, January 31, 1921, basic course.
Certificate with great appeal, bold headings, and three original fountain-pen signatures:
Brigadier General Mark L. Hersey, Commandant distinguished WWI combat commander (155th Field Artillery Brigade, 80th Division), recipient of the Distinguished Service Cross, Army Distinguished Service Medal, and multiple foreign awards. Hersey commanded Camp Devens exactly during this period (19201922). Major J. M. Moon, 36th Infantry, Assistant Commandant 1st Lieutenant 36th Infantry, Secretary (signature is very clear in person)
