With the right basics and a little tact, the traditional finishing technique from the restoration area is also feasible for creatives. For this purpose, Kreul leaf metal is attached to decorative objects with Kreul feeding milk. The wafer-thin metal is available in gold, silver and copper. High-gloss effects are possible on numerous surfaces made of wood, glass, cardboard, porcelain and much more. Simple accessories such as picture frames, wooden parts or bowls become luxurious art objects. Here's how it works: The surface to be designed must be clean, dust and grease free. Apply Kreul planting milk and allow to dry transparent (duration at least 20 minutes). Apply leaf metal and gently press with a soft, dry brush. Carefully remove residue with a brush or cloth. After drying (min. 12 hours). Carefully polish with a soft polishing cloth or cotton wool. Allow gold-plated objects to dry for several days and coat over with Kreul coating varnish for leaf metal to protect against corrosion. To protect the decoration outdoors as well as on surfaces such as concrete, plaster, terracotta and clay, use Kreul Zapon varnish. The leaf metal is suitable for the following surfaces: wood, glass, paper, canvas, cardboard, polystyrene, plastic, wax, ceramic, porcelain, dried concrete, terracotta, film, metal and leather.
