- MEASURED BY WAIST SIZE: Make sure to order by your waist measurement rather than your pant size because kilts fit differently than the jeans and slacks. Measure your waist where you would like to wear the kilt. The size that the kilt is labeled is the smallest it will go (e.g., a size 40 can adjust up to almost a size 44). Always order one size smaller than what you measure for best fit. As an example, a measured size of 43 or 44 would order a size 42.
